FFC Oxford Geynee

After twenty years of having only other people's horses in my life, FFC Oxford Geynee  (pronounced like Genie-in-a-bottle) (AHR 564582 Amyr Count Raffnee X FFC Ongeynue) was the horse I bought for ME.

It was her gentle, friendly spirit that caught my attention, even among a dozen beautiful two and three year old Arabians in her pasture at Fairfield Farm. When I saw her move: that powerful, ground covering trot -- I was sold.

Geynee's unusual color is added interest: she is chestnut with a flaxen mane and rabicano pattern roaning, giving her the appearance of frosted gingerbread.

We will breed Geynee to Beau Quest again for a 2010 foal.

Virginia artist, Adele Castillo, known for her uncanny ability to capture the personality and spirit of the animal as well as her interesting use of color, captured this image of FFC Oxford Geynee in her painting: "Heading Out".

Adele tells us the original painting is available for purchase, as well as prints and notecards. Contact Adele at her site www.adelecastillo.com

*New* Geynee performs on the triangle in Sport Horse in Hand, Mares 5 years and up at the recent Crabbet Celebration. We finished third against some of the top SHIH mares in the region.

Mama Geynee scolds, month old Beau Desteynee (by Beau Quest) apologizes. Looking on is FFC Csea Bandit

Beau Desteynee at about 8 months old frolicking in his first snowfall. Notice his broad chest, straight legs, balanced body and the extras of a fine head and great tail carriage. You can see why we will try for a full brother or sister this breeding season.
